Panorama Mountain Village is home to the best downhill mountain bike park in British Columbia’s Kootenay region. With high-speed chairlift access, the Kona Groove Approved Bike Park offers riders of all abilities a multitude of options. It features two beginner trails for those new to the sport, varied intermediate trails to boost confidence on steeps, features, and technical terrain, along with expert downhill and North Shore style trails, a biker-cross course, a drop park, and a trials park. New this year is a 3.2 km machine-built beginner run with bermed turns and a dedicated base camp where riders can meet up. Situated at the base of the mountain, Lusti’s offers top-line Kona rental bikes, the latest clothing and protective gear, along with snacks and refreshments to fuel up after a big day on the mountain.

Completion of the “new” Dusty’s Doom, and rebuilding of many old school wooden features on trails like Crazy train and Bender for more flow

Driving Directions

Panorama Mountain Village (www.panoramaresort.com ) is located only 2 hours southwest of Banff in the spectacular BC Rockies. Turn south off Trans Canada #1 onto Highway 93 to Radium Hot Springs. Travel south on Highway 93/95 to Invermere (14km). Panorama is well marked 18 km west of Invermere. Calgary International Airport (3.5 hrs drive - 292 km/181 miles) is the principal gateway serving all major carriers and ground transportation options. (See location map here).

From Calgary, drive one of the world's great mountain highways through Banff and Kootenay National Parks (3.5 hrs drive - 292 km/181 miles).

From Calgary,travel west on Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway) through Canmore and Banff.
About 30km west ofBanffexit Highway 1at Castle Junction and take Highway 93 through Kootenay National Park towards Radium Hot Springs.
Follow Highway 93 to Radium and travel a few km through town – turn left on Highway 93/95 to Invermere.
At Invermere you'll arrive at a set of traffic lights – turn right and drive through the outskirts of town past Lake Windermere.
Just after the lake you'll cross a rail bridge – take the next right ontoPanorama Drive.
Now it's just 18km to Panorama. You'll drive through an industrial area and wind through pastureland and forest, but don't worry you'reon the righttrack and weare waiting for you!

Bikepark Description:

This summer, beat the crowds and discover authentic downhill mountain biking at Panorama Mountain Village, in British Columbia’s Kootenay region. Renowned for single track trails with natural features for all abilities, Panorama’s Bike Park also offers wide cruisers and expert terrain with man-made stunts. Panorama’s Kona Groove Approved Bike Park has a number of trails to challenge riders of all levels.  With high-speed chairlift access, choose from easier trails for those new to the sport, varied intermediate trails to boost confidence on steeps, stunts, and technical terrain, or expert downhill trails with man-made features.

  • 14% easy, 33% intermediate, 20% advanced, and 33% expert
  • 30km of trails in total

REQUIREMENTS
Helmets are mandatory, with full-face helmets recommended.  Protective gear (elbows, shins, & gloves) is not required, but strongly recommended.  All protective gear is available for sale or rent at Lusti’s.
