Directions: The city of La Paz is located 25 minutes from El Alto International Airport La Paz, Bolivia. Please be aware that the city of La Paz is at 11,800 feet above sea level and that you will require a couple of easy days at this altitude before being able to ride.

Description of Bike Park: The area around La Paz, Bolivia, offers an incredible range of riding opportunities, from sedate 1-day dirt road downhill rides for all levels of riders, to challenging 1-day singletrack downhill rides, to multi-day rides up to two weeks in length. The spectacular geography of the region means almost all of our rides are predominantly downhill, with some involving vertical descents of over 14,000 feet in one day. Real masochists could, of course, do the rides in reverse!

  • Several fit-beginner XC-style 1-day rides
  • Ten different multi-day itineraries, including 2-country tours (Bolivia-Chile or Bolivia-Peru), cross country tours (do you fancy climbing 17,800 feet vertical from the coast of Chile to the mountains of Bolivia?) and Big Bouncy Bike adventures (how about 10 or more days of 10,000 feet vertical of singletrack descent EVERY DAY?)
  • One masochist’s delight uphill ride of 14,400 feet vertical climb in 56 miles (96% uphill!!) finishing at 17,600 feet
  • All rides are guided by our professional international guides with full vehicle support, coaching, food and instruction included. Our national champion Bolivian guides provide extra support on rides with bigger group sizes. We have 75 Kona mountain bikes available for rent, from hard-tail Hoss-Deeluxes to Coilers and Stinkys. We also provide 661 helmets and Kona gloves and armor


La Paz is a modern city with a full range of very reasonably priced accommodation, from US$2/night backpacker hostels up on to US$100/night 5-star hotels.
